Applications are invited from Indian nationals belonging to scheduled categories (SC, ST, OBC, EWS and employment PwD (VH, OH, HH)) under unique recruitment drive for the post of Assistant Professor in the Departments of Aerospace Engineering, Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Cognitive Science, Computer Technology and Engineering, Design, Earth Sciences, Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management Sciences, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics, Physics, Space, Planetary & Astronomical Sciences & Engineering (SPASE), Sustainable Energy Engineering, and employment Kotak School of Sustainability.

Several Departments likewise get involved in the mentor and research activities of interdisciplinary post-graduate programs in the institute in Photonics Science and Engineering and Materials Science Program. Minimum Qualification (Assistant Professor): Ph.D. with first class or equivalent (in regards to grades, employment etc) at the preceding degree in the proper branch, with an extremely excellent scholastic record in all preceding degrees. Other info:

1. The pay brings all other allowances as admissible to a Central Government worker stationed at Kanpur.

2. The benefits, such as LTC, medical re-imbursement, transport allowance, children education allowance, contribution towards New Pension System (NPS), re-imbursement of telephone costs, book grants, HRA (if real estate not supplied), research study initiation grant (approximately Rs 25 lakhs with the provision to request a supplementary grant) and financial assistance towards national and international conferences shall be allowed based on the Institute standards.

3. From its internal resources, the Institute supplies an additional top-up salary of Rs 25,000/- per month for the very first 3 years of service to the recently joined professor. After 3 years of service, the professors member(s) are qualified for factor to consider for Young Faculty Fellowship (open for professors of age upto 40 years) offering a top-up income of Rs.15,000/- monthly for three years, and/or Faculty Chair positions supplying a top-up wage of Rs 25,000/- each month for three years. 4. Traveling allowance for signing up with: The Institute will reimburse international travel expenditures for the newly joined faculty member and dependent family members to the maximum limitation of Rs. 1,50,000. Domestic travel reimbursement will be according to government rules.
